SLED HOCKEY

Members of the RIC Blackhawks Sled Hockey Team led by Brian Ruhe practice in Winnetka, Illinois. Sled hockey players use short hockey sticks to propel themselves around the ice and shoot. The team run by the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago was formed in 1999 and is now the top team in the United States. They compete internationally on a regular basis.
